What are American Cockroaches?
The largest home-infesting roach. Red-brown with a yellow edge on the shield. People call them palmetto bugs or water bugs. They can glide.
Are they dangerous?
Filth pest. They travel sewers, crawls, and leaf piles. Not the same job as a German kitchen colony.
What causes them?
They live outdoors and in crawls, then walk in after rain or heat. Floor drains and boiler rooms pull them.
