How we actually treat termites

Middle Tennessee is subterranean termite country. Clay soil and humidity keep colonies working. We do not sell a mystery “warranty spray.” Recent Death Row estimates use the same three tools, picked after we measure the foundation:

Liquid soil barrier — trench-and-treat or rod injection with Taurus SC (fipronil). Continuous treated zone around the house. Termites that hit it do not bounce off and go around. Residual life is up to 10 years when applied as labeled.
Bait stations — in-ground monitors around the structure. Colony elimination after they feed, then yearly monitoring to keep the system honest.
Borate on outbuildings — Bora-Care (or equivalent) painted/sprayed on accessible wood. Barns, cribs, coops, and root cellars do not get a house-style trench unless we quote that separately.

How a quote is built

We measure linear footage and look at access before anything is billed. Slab vs crawl, porches, wood-to-soil contacts, and whether we can trench all change the job. Active infestation is a separate curative line, quoted before we start. We do not repair wood. Outbuildings (barns, cribs, coops, root cellars) are never bundled into the house treatment unless the quote says so.

Inspection vs treatment vs bond

Inspection — extra on Basic Shield ($50/month). Included on Advance ($75) and Premium ($125). We look at foundation, crawl or basement, wood that sounds wrong, and attic if we can reach it. Photos do not count as an inspection.
Treatment — quoted after the find. Not free eradication. Not inside the monthly Shield line.
Annual bond / protection plan — yearly inspection plus re-treat if subterranean activity returns on the treated structure. Renewable. Does not pay for carpenter work.

What we check on the stop

Foundation perimeter and wood-to-soil contacts (porch piers, steps, siding flare).
Crawl or partial basement: joists, sills, moisture, mud tubes.
Utility penetrations and any critter holes that break a soil barrier.
Outbuildings only if you asked us to price them.
