What are Boxelder Bugs?

Black with red-orange edges on the wings. Flat oval body. Nymphs are bright red. Fall pest.

Are they dangerous?

Not a health threat. They stain fabric if you crush them. Numbers pile up year after year.

What causes them?

Boxelder, maple, and ash trees nearby. They hunt a warm wall when nights drop in October.
