What are Drugstore Beetles?

Named because they used to eat pharmacy stock. They also eat flour, spices, seeds, pet food, wool, leather, and books. Head tucked, grooved wing covers.

Are they dangerous?

Nuisance. They contaminate food and can scar books and fabric.

What causes them?

Infested packages from a warehouse or a long-forgotten box of mix.

Small brown beetles and holes in a box.
