What are Earwigs?
The pincers on the tail are the ID. The ear myth is false. They do not crawl into sleeping ears to lay eggs.
Are they dangerous?
Look mean. Rarely a problem pinch. They are a moisture and mulch pest.
What causes them?
Mulch volcanoes against siding, wet wood, and leaf litter.
Signs in the house
Pincer bugs under a pot or in a wet garage after rain.
In Middle Tennessee
Mulch-heavy beds against slabs.
What Death Row does
Pull mulch back, dry the edge, exterior treat. Call or text 931-500-6969.
Invader tank
Best treatment from the truck
Load Exterior Bifen + seal. Light interior Alpine.
Per gallon Bifen I/T 1.0 fl oz per gallon on the foundation and window wells. Alpine WSG 10 g per gallon on sills if they already walked in.
Rain and first-cold snaps drive these. Seal beats a monthly fog. TN charter 5908. Licensed applicators only. The label beats this card if they disagree.
