What are Firebrats?

Look like silverfish but mottled gray-brown and they want heat — water heaters, ovens, attics in summer.

Are they dangerous?

They eat paper, glue, and crumbs. They do not bite.

What causes them?

Hot dry rooms around appliances, unlike silverfish which like cool damp baths.
