What are Granary Weevils?
Brownish-red snout beetles. Pitted head. They play dead when disturbed. Wings present but they do not fly.
Are they dangerous?
They ruin whole grain. They do not bite people.
What causes them?
They come in on rice, wheat, corn, and bird seed already infested at a plant.
Signs in the house
Live weevils or exit holes in grain. They go still when you tap the bag.
