Square, mottled olive-brown true bugs. People think they are beetles. They are closer to stink bugs. Ladybug size.

Are they dangerous?

Not a health threat. They stain and smell if you smash them. Crop pest on kudzu and soybeans.

What causes them?

They pile on sunny siding in late fall looking for a winter void.
