What are Merchant Grain Beetles?

Flat, narrow, brown beetles with six saw-like teeth on each side of the thorax. They slide into packaged goods.

Are they dangerous?

They contaminate dry goods. They do not bite.

What causes them?

They hitch in flour, nuts, dried fruit, and pet food.
