What are Millipedes?

Many legs under a round, worm-like body. Slow. They curl up. Not an insect — an arthropod. People mix them with centipedes.

Are they dangerous?

They do not bite. Some release an irritating fluid. Keep pets from chewing them.

What causes them?

Leaf litter and heavy rain push them onto slabs and into garages.
