What are Odorous House Ants?
Small dark brown to black ants. Crush one and it smells like rotten coconut. That smell is the ID.
Are they dangerous?
Nuisance. They contaminate food. They do not damage wood.
What causes them?
They nest in wall voids, under sinks, and outside in mulch. Sweets and pet bowls pull them in.
