What are Paper Wasps?
Brown with yellow marks, long legs. Open-comb umbrella nest under an eave — no outer shell. Semi-social, smaller colonies than yellowjackets.
Are they dangerous?
They sting if you work the nest. They can sting more than once. Allergy is the real danger.
What causes them?
Eaves, porch ceilings, and grill covers.
