What are Pharaoh Ants?
Amber or yellowish ants with a darker abdomen. Very small. Easy to mistake for “sugar ants” until they take over a whole apartment stack.
Are they dangerous?
They can move bacteria. Ugly in kitchens and health-care settings. Spray makes them split into more colonies.
What causes them?
Warm walls, cabinets, around water heaters. Multi-family and restaurants more than farmhouses.
