Ants in Columbia homes

Know your ant
- Small dark trails in the kitchen are usually odorous house ants. They show up after rain.
- Large black ants inside may be carpenter ants. Look for sawdust-like shavings near wood. That points to a moisture problem.
- Mounds in the yard after a rain are often fire ants. They sting when the mound is disturbed.
- Swarms of winged ants in spring can be ants or termites. Save one and text us a photo before you spray.
Our treatment
We use baits and non-repellent products so the ants carry the treatment back to the nest. That knocks down the colony, not just the trail you can see. Outside, we treat the foundation, the crawl vents, and porch areas. Inside, we treat the trails and entry points.
What it costs
House ants are covered on every Shield plan. Basic is $50/month, Advance is $75/month, and Premium is $125/month. Premium also covers yard fire ants and lawn fleas and ticks. Not on a plan? We can quote a one-time treatment.
Carpenter ants and termites
