Work Hard, Spray Harder
Ant Control in Spring Hill, TN
House ants in a Spring Hill kitchen are Shield work. Carpenter ants, crazy ants, and fire ants are limited by the live terms. Fire ants are a Premium exception. We treat what is in the coverage list, and we say so.
Plan coverage: House ants on standard coverage. Carpenter/crazy/fire ants limited; fire ants on Premium.
Ants in Spring Hill homes
Ants are the most common call we get in Spring Hill from March through September. New yards, fresh mulch, and slab foundations give them easy nesting spots right against the house. After a heavy rain, they often move inside looking for dry ground and food.
Ants we see most
- Odorous house ants: small and dark. They trail along counters and smell like rotten coconut when crushed.
- Pavement ants: push little piles of sand out of slab cracks and expansion joints.
- Carpenter ants: big and black. They nest in wet or damaged wood. If you see them inside in spring, there may be a moisture problem.
- Fire ants: mounds in lawns and along driveways. They sting hard. Watch kids and pets.
How we treat ants
Store-bought repellent sprays kill the ants you see and scatter the rest. The colony splits and you end up with more trails. We use non-repellent products and baits. Ants walk through them or carry bait back to the nest, so the colony goes down too.
- Inside: bait and non-repellent treatment at trails and entry points.
- Outside: the foundation band, doors, and mulch beds on the same visit.
- Fire ant mounds: treated as their own job when they are the problem.
Plans
House ants are covered on every Shield plan: Basic $50, Advance $75, and Premium $125 a month. Yard fire ants are covered on Premium, or quoted separately if you are on Basic or Advance. If ants come back between visits, service calls are free on Advance and Premium and $49 on Basic.

Spring Hill ant questions
Ants show up every time it storms. Why?
Heavy rain floods the nests in fresh yards and mulch beds, and the colony moves to the driest spot it can find, which is often your kitchen slab.
Should I spray them before you come?
Please do not. Store sprays scatter the colony and make the trail harder to follow. Leave the trail so we can bait it.
Is it ants or termites with wings?
Save one in a zip bag or snap a close photo and text it to 931-500-6969. Termites have a thick waist and equal-length wings. Ants have a pinched waist.
