Work Hard, Spray Harder

Stink Bugs Moving Indoors in Spring Hill

Cool nights hit Spring Hill in late September. Warm days hang on. That mix wakes brown marmorated stink bugs and their cousins. They leave the weeds and look for a wall crack. Your house looks like a hotel.

Columbia, Santa Fe, Franklin, and Thompson’s Station see the same push. Maury County and Williamson County porches fill up with the shield-shaped bugs that smell when you smash them. Do not smash them on the couch.

Death Row Pest Control is family-run. We work hard, spray harder. Call or text 931-500-6969. Same number for SMS: 931-500-6969. That is the only public line.

Why stink bugs move in now

They overwinter as adults. When nights drop into the 50s, they hunt siding, window frames, and attic vents. One warm afternoon they crawl out again on the ceiling. Then they hide when the sun goes down.

Leaf piles along fences and tall weeds by the shed feed them first. After that, light-colored walls draw them. Brick and vinyl both work as ladders. Gaps around dryer vents and cable lines are open doors.

What not to do

Do not crush them indoors. The smell sticks to fabric and fingers. Do not fog the whole house. That scatters them into wall voids and does nothing for the ones still outside.

A shop-vac with a little soapy water in the canister is fine for a few on the windowsill. Tape the hose after so they do not crawl back out. Seal the bag and toss it.

What Death Row does on Shield

Stink bugs and other fall invaders sit on the insect route. That is the monthly Shield calendar, not a separate panic ticket every time one lands on the lamp.

Arrival is about 48 hours on Basic and Advance, about 24 hours on Premium. Heavy attic sealing or a one-off “they filled the upstairs” job can still get a separate quote when the house is already loaded.

Read the plans on Shield pricing. Book or ask a question on contact us. Day-to-day house work lives on residential pest control.

Quick home checks before we roll

Walk the sunny sides of the house at dusk. Look for clusters on the south and west walls. Trim weeds off the foundation. Close attic vents that hang open. Fix torn screens. Keep porch lights off when you can, or switch to warmer bulbs that draw fewer bugs.

If you already vacuumed a hundred of them off one window, send a photo when you call. That helps us plan exterior residual and entry points instead of guessing.

Service towns

We cover Spring Hill, Columbia, and Santa Fe with real offices on the books. Franklin and Thompson’s Station are service area. Same for the rest of Maury County and Williamson County stops that fit the route.
