Bed Bug Treatment — Quoted Add-On
Death Row Pest Control treats bed bugs. Bed bugs are not in standard Shield coverage. They are an add-on service. If they are present at the initial inspection, the service agreement calls for a curative upcharge.
Do not buy Basic, Advance, or Premium and assume bed bugs are “included somewhere.” They are not.
How this is sold
Inspection, then a quote. We do not publish a bed-bug package price on the website. Free estimates are on the truck and on the one-time treatment card. Heat vs spray vs what the job needs is decided after we see the rooms — we will not pretend a blog post is a protocol.

Not inside Shield
Bed bugs are an add-on. Eggs hatch after visit one, so we do not sell a single spray and a wish. Minimum is two visits. Three visits is the only plan we write a retreatment guarantee on.
- Inspection of beds, furniture, baseboards, and typical harborages.
- Visit 1 — knockdown residual and dust.
- Visit 2 — 10–14 days later for the hatch-out. Required.
- Visit 3 — optional. Required if you want the full retreatment guarantee.
Prep is on you: heat-dry bedding, pull furniture off the walls, cut the clutter. We do not replace mattresses. Extra rooms change the scope after we look.

Bed bug treatment in Spring Hill, Columbia, and Santa Fe
Bed bugs come home in luggage, used furniture, and secondhand mattresses, or with a guest. They hide in mattress seams, bed frames, headboards, and furniture near where people sleep. They come out at night to feed.
How to know
- Itchy bites in rows or clusters in the morning.
- Rust or black spots on sheets and mattress seams.
- Shed skins and tiny white eggs in seams and cracks.
- Live bugs about the size of an apple seed.
What not to do
- Do not use bug bombs or foggers. They push bed bugs into walls and other rooms.
- Do not move the bed or couch to another room. That spreads them.
- Do not throw out furniture until we look. Some pieces can be treated.
Homes, rentals, and apartments
In apartments and duplexes, bed bugs can move through shared walls. We treat the unit we are hired for and tell you if the units next door should be checked. Landlords and property managers can call us to inspect when a tenant reports bites.
Cost
Bed bugs are priced by room after a free inspection. They are not part of any Shield plan. Shield members get their plan discount on extra services: 5% on Basic and 15% on Advance and Premium.

Bed bug questions
Do I need to throw away my mattress?
Usually not. Mattresses and box springs can be treated and covered with encasements. We tell you if a piece is too far gone.
How long before I can sleep in the room?
Once treated areas are dry, usually the same day. We go over the details before the visit.
Why two visits?
Treatments do not kill every egg. The second visit, 10 to 14 days later, catches the bugs that hatch.
