Yellowjackets Under Eaves Before Labor Day in Spring Hill

Wasp under eave

Labor Day is Monday, September 7. The grill is coming back out. The porch is getting wiped. That gray football under the eave is not a lantern.

Yellowjackets in Spring Hill, Columbia, Santa Fe, Franklin, and Thompson’s Station get mean in late August. The nest that looked small in June is a busy airport now. They want protein and sugar. Your cookout is both.

Death Row Pest Control is family-run. We work hard, spray harder. We come to the house. Call or text 931-500-6969. Same number for SMS: 931-500-6969. That is the only public line.

Do not swat. Do not seal them in.

Swatting one yellowjacket by the grill is how you meet the rest of the nest. Stuffing foam in a soffit hole while they are still inside is how they come through a light fixture. We have seen that. A real Saturday-night job put yellowjackets in a toddler’s room. Do not DIY that.

Paper wasps on the eave are one job. Yellowjackets in a wall, a void, or the ground are another. We inspect first. Then we treat. We do not guess from a blurry porch photo.

What a visit looks like

  1. You call or text 931-500-6969.
  2. We look. Eaves, soffits, shutters, play sets, the dirt by the patio.
  3. You get a straight answer. Paper wasp nest on a Shield stop, or a yellowjacket quote if that is the pest.

We will not pretend a quarterly spray is a yellowjacket knockdown. Inspection is honest. Treatment is honest. If the colony is in a wall, we say that. If it is a paper nest we can take on a plan visit, we say that too.

If you want the nest gone before the cookout, say that when you call. Do not wait for the next quarterly and hope they commute.

Yellowjacket FAQs

Can I knock down a yellowjacket nest myself before the cookout?
Don’t swat. Don’t seal them in. Call or text 931-500-6969. We inspect, then we treat.

Are yellowjackets included on a Shield plan?
Paper wasp nests and cobwebs are on the plans (once a year on request for Basic $50; included on Advance $75 and Premium $125). Yellowjackets, hornets, and bald-faced hornets are quoted. They are not a membership checkbox.

Do you serve Franklin and Thompson’s Station?
Yes. Those are service areas. No office there. We run them from Spring Hill, Columbia, and Santa Fe. Call or text 931-500-6969.

Can you treat a nest from a photo?
Send one if you want. We still inspect in person. We do not treat a nest from a text thread.

Are rodents included on Basic?
No. Basic $50 is insects. Rodents are not included. Mice and rats start at Advance $75.

What number do I call?
